Nine days across Kabul, Bamiyan and Herat. The route drives to Bamiyan for the ancient Gholghola City, the Buddhas and a day at the Band-e-Amir lakes with boat riding, then returns to Kabul for a round-trip flight to Herat. Two days in Herat cover the citadel, the minarets, the Friday Mosque and the Khwaja Abdullah Ansari Shrine before the final days back in the capital.
