Go Kabul is an Afghan-owned cultural tour operator based in Kabul, founded in 2022 to show international travellers the real Afghanistan. We design and run guided, security-supported cultural tours across the country — from the capital's bazaars and the Buddha cliffs of Bamiyan to the turquoise lakes of Band-e-Amir, Herat's Silk Road monuments, and the high Pamir of the Wakhan Corridor. Our team of English-speaking Afghan guides handles everything on the ground: private transport, provincial permits, accommodation, and a free visa invitation letter with every booking. We run 24 itineraries ranging from 3 to 25 days, tailored to independent travellers, small groups, and business visitors.

In 2022, our founder made a bet: that Afghanistan — despite every headline — was capable of receiving curious, respectful international visitors. The first group was four people. One of them cried at the Bamiyan valley. Another came back the following month.
That was the proof of concept. Within a year we had guides in Kabul, Bamiyan, and Herat. Within two years, tour groups from 18 countries had sat around Afghan dinner tables, walked through ancient bazaars, and witnessed a country that the news had never shown them.
