Tour Overview
Sixteen days across seven provinces, linking eastern, northern and western Afghanistan in a single route. From Kabul the tour heads east into Nuristan (Wama, Parun and the Bashgal Valley), then north over the Salang Pass to Mazar-i-Sharif and ancient Balkh, through Samangan and Takht Rustam, and on to Bamiyan for the Buddhas and Band-e-Amir. A flight west to Herat brings the citadel, minarets and Friday Mosque, before the road to Kandahar and the flight back to Kabul for the closing days.
